Really wish I didn't upgrade on the phone

4 October - Phone Vodacom to upgrade. Wanted to order black P9 lite. Was told they didn't have in stock and they have no idea when it will be, but the white one is. Was desperate to get new phone as current one is on its last legs so told them I was fine with the white one. Went through process and was told that phone would take 2 - 3 business days to get to me. In other words, Friday afternoon at the latest.

7 October (Friday) - Nothing

8 October - Phone to find out how far the delivery is because it is now Saturday, and I might as well just go do the upgrade in the shop. Talk to different person. According to her, the white one is now out of stock and only arriving on Monday the 10th , but the black one arrived the previous day. Ask if I can change my order to black one now and was told I can't. Which is annoying, but kinda understandable. However, what isn't understandable is that the information I got on the first day i phoned for the upgrade (4 Oct) was false.

11 October - Phone again to hear about delivery status. Eventually get to the lady that helped me with the initial upgrade over the phone on the 4th. Ask her where my upgrade is. She tells me now that they are out of stock and that they will only be receiving stock on Wednesday the 12th. This is now the third stock story I am getting.

So now I decided that I am very annoyed and seeing that I know the shop near me has the phone in stock, I decide that I want to cancel the upgrade and go start the process over again at the shop. I am told that this process takes between 7 and 14 days. Are you kidding! So now I am stuck waiting for a phone getting 3 different stories about when they are and when they are not in stock. When I told the operator that it is ridiculous that they promise delivery in 2-3 working days, and that I still don't have the phone, she tells me that I was "more than happy to order the phone on backorder when I first ordered it on the 4th". Which is complete nonsense, as I was told when I ordered it that it was in stock and that I would have it in 2 - 3 working days.

It is now 13 days (9 business days) later and I still don't have the phone.
