Really over Vodacom!!!!!!

I have too many bad experiences with Vodacom as of late, but I will highlight what's gotten me to decide to change service providers.

I have always bought 1GB of data at a time to use to browse or tether on my laptop. Usually this would last about a week, which in itself is ridiculously expensive. But lately the data charges have become worse. When I called customer care I was told to restrict mt background data on my mobile. Which I have susubsequently done on both my mobile and laptop when tethering.

Today I bought 1GB of data at 12:34 and after less than an hour of tethering to browse on my laptop, I received an sms to say my data has been depleted. Believing this to be an error, I called the Vodacom customer care line to enquire. After a few 'shot in the dark' explanations as to why my data had been depleted (including (a) my background data is using up data even though I've restricted it, (b) tethering in general usea up a lot of data and 4G is the reason why my data was used up so quickly) I was basically told it is what it is, and my data will not be refunded.

1GB of data??? In less than 2 hours???? Next Vodacom will be telling ua breathing in general uses up alot of data.

This was not my first time tethering and I found it insulting that they attempt to just guess what happened just to avoid reimbursing. I find Vodacom charges ridiculous and service appalling at best. They have become arrogant and detached from their consumers.

Today will be the last day of me using this network. I'll be porting to a different network. This is unacceptable and amounts to down right theft!!!!!!!!!!
