Really bad service at the Vodacom store in Kolonade Mall, Pretoria. (the one close to Checkers)

False promises and unwilling to help a customer after a deal.

The content of this description will be from emails that I have sent to the customer service.

This is from a email I sent on the 1st of Febuary 2017.

"On the 14th of January, 2017, I upgraded at the Vodacom store in Kolonade mall in Pretoria.
I originally wanted to upgraded to the Iphone 7 Plus, or the Samsung S7.
The consultant that helped me, said that I shouldnt take nether, but to take the Huawei P9 Plus.
At first I wasnt intrested, but he convinced me that the other phones are really not on the Huawei's standard.
So I trusted his profesional judgment, and took the P9.

On the 26th of January, my phone froze where the screen didnt interact with anything, so I had to restart the phone.
I didnt think much about it at the time, but 2days afterwards the phone froze continuously.

On Sunday evening, I sent Vodacom Customer service an email, explaining what the situatian is.
Monday moring, the 30th of January, a consultant from Vodacom Customer Service, gave me a call and explained that I should take the phone back to the store where I did my upgrade.
Im from Potchefstroom, and cant drive to Pretoria during the week, and most weekends.
He then said I shoud go to my nearest Vodacom store and to explain my situation, which I did, but had no success.

That same day, I phoned the Vodacom store in Kolonade, asking to speak to the store manager.
He then said that I should book the phone in for repairs.
I asked him how it could be possible, and how rediculous it is, for a new phone to be sent for repairs and software updates. A phone that one of his consultants falsely convinced to take.
He also said that he will give me his personal number and email adress so that I can reach him personally....Im still waiting for his details.
I could hear and realised that the manager didnt want to believe me nor to help me.

Later that day, the phone froze again, three times. The third time I recorded it to use as proof.

Yesterday, Tuesday the 31st, I spoke to another manager of the store, and told him that I want my upgrade to be stopped, before the end of the day, before the contract starts, so that I can upgrade to the device that I originally wanted, and not the device that one of his consultants falsely convinced me to take.
He also said that he will send me an email, so that I can reach him personally. I am still waiting for his email.

Last night, the phone froze AGAIN, and I recorded it again.

Today was the start of my contract, and was the first time that I received the R200 airtime from my flexi200.

I refuse to pay for something that is faulty.
The consultant convinced me to take the P9 Plus, and now Ive got problems with the phone."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now lets move on a week. In the meanwhile, Ive booked my phone in for repairs, and got a replacement (of the same make and model) today.

The next part will be form a complaint email I sent to customer sercive.

"Good morning.

I would like to lodge a complaint against the Vodacom store in Kolonade Mall, Pretoria. (the 1 close to Checkers)
You can read the story in the emails that is attached (forwarded) to this one.

I sent in my phone for repairs, and got a new device (sealed) back today.
On Sunday, the 5th, I went to see the manager (Eduan) at the Kolonade Vodacom store. The other manager's name is Stefan.
He told (promised) me that if I get the device back, and it was replaced by a new one, he will cancel the contract and give me the opportunity to upgrade to the device that I originally wanted.
After I reviced the sealed phone in its original package, I phoned the manager of the Kolonade store.

He then changed his story by saying that the place where the Repair Centre gets their phones, are not the same where his store gets their phones. And that the reason for the faulty device was because it had water damage.
He is now backtracking on his word, and trying to make excuses and looking for reasons why he cant help me.

The reasons for my complaint is:
#1: The consultant that originally helped me, falsely convinced me to take something that I originally did not want. I trusted his expertise.
#2: The consultant and Huawei agent convinced me that there would be no problem if few drops gets on the phone. I trusted their expertise. (the devices that I originally wanted (iphone 7 plus, Samsung s7), is water resistant)
#3: Since the first day I spoke to the managers, they did not want to help me (Im still waiting for their contact details that they promised me more then a week ago).
#4: There was absolutly NO aftersales customer service. They did not follow up (all 3 managers that I spoke to), or try to help me from their side. Not once did they call me (or email) from their side.
#5: Eduan (manager) made promises that he doesnt keep."

If a Vodacom agent wants to communicate, he/she is more then welcome.<br **********
