My contract was taken over by Vodacom from Nashua Mobile December 2014. In this process, Vodacom failed to capture my debit order details correctly. My husband was contacted twice by an agent from Vodacom to confirm correct banking details, yet the debits still didn't go off. Due to this, my cellphone has been cut off. <br> I have now received a bill of R 1,610.68 as well as an activation fee of R 285.00. I phoned the call centre to query the reactivation fee as this entire ***** up was an error on Vodacom's side, and not my own. The call centre agent was not able to assist me, and grew rather agitated when I requested to speak to her manager. She then advised her manager was in a meeting and would contact either myself or my husband. She also insisted that I am liable for the reactivation fee, which is incorrect. Vodacom made errors from inception of the contract, due to untrained staff perhaps, and even tried to rectify said errors, not once but twice, yet have the audacity to charge me for said error?
