RE: Repairs Turn Around Time

Good day On the 21st October 2021, I took a contract with vodacom that had 2 x Hisense handsets H50 Zoom black pearl, from Vodacom Springs Mall. On the 25th 1 of the hand sets started flickering and showing funny likes, I kept on switching it on and off hoping that it would reset and be fine, unfortunately I could not bring it in immediately back to Vodacom Springs Mall due to work commitments during the course of the days.

On the 30th October 2021, i finally managed to bring it in, the technician by the name of Werner Maritz informed me that the exchange period or something like that has lapsed and this will need to be booked in for repairs. I did not object to his story and merely accepted the explanation. Today 29 Nov 2021 marks exactly 21 working days since my phone has been sent for repairs and the last update i had received from Vodacom was that they are awaiting replacement parts. I took the honors today and went into Vodacom Springs Mall to enquire about the status of my phones repairs considering that I was promised a working phone in 21working days, 1 of the technicians took my job card promising to go check and upon his return he had a nerve to refer me to the repair centres number and advise me to call them and check on the status, this was nothing short of an insult considering that the reason the is point of sales is to put customers at ease and help in the best possible way. My biggest worry is the lack of accountability from the service provider and especially lack of empathy to me as customer who is paying for a device that's seating in your repair centre and being expected to just continue paying and for a service I am not receiving. Attached please find the job card and the copy of the contract for ease of reference. Regards Obakeng Hlatshwayo ***
