RE: P9 lite repairs
My P9 lite was sent in for repairs 3 weeks ago at vodacom/ vodacare in Sandton Ø On the 15th Jan 2018. I got an sms receipt saying the phone has been received. Ø The repair was for a screen change, and I was told 5 working days for the repairs to take place. Ø A week later when I was hoping to receive my phone, I got a call from the insurance saying that, my phone was being or is discontinued, and therefore the phone could not be fixed (20th 2018). Ø There after I had two options of either getting a refurbished phone for R400 or R 656 for a p10 Lite. Ø Of which I was not happy with- However, I finally opted for the p10 lite and agreed to pay the amount. Ø As I know not how the phone being discontinued gained me an expense! Ø There-after I was told to wait up to 5 working days whilst papers were being processed. ‘ Ø Last week insurance called and said my phone was ready. Upon calling Vodacom/care in Sandton. They advised that they did not have the phone. On Wednesday (Jan 24th) they inform me the phone is being delivered. I called and was informed no delivery came, and that it would probably be the next day. Thursday (25th Jan 2018). I called on Thursday -3 times to make sure the phone was truly there, and I was assured that my phone had truly arrived. I also received an sms that day confirming this. Ø I left work (Centurion) to venture to Sandton to pick up the phone. Ø Upon arrival the lady informs me the wrong phone had, actually been delivered and she got the p8 instead of the p10 lite. (how I could not have been informed of this before a wasted trip is baffling to me) Ø Then she said the phone will be delivered the Friday, and that I would get a call when the phone has been delivered. Subsequently if the phone was not delivered then perhaps it is on back order and I will have to wait another 5-10 working days for my phone. Ø Today is Monday the 29th January 2018, and I have yet to receive a phone call as to the status of my phone, and I sit without a phone now, and it’s been almost a month. Now I’m thoroughly annoyed and feel disrespected. I want my phone, and at no expense I might add for the inconsistencies and lack of efficiency. I fail to understand why a phone you clearly knew was not in stock was offered to me, nor the fact that it was somehow only discovered a week after delivery that, the phone had been discontinued. further making that a problem for me. I have been sitting without a proper functioning phone now for almost a month.
