RE: Overcharged and Life put on Hold!

In 2014 I went to work in Nigeria and for banking (OTP and Forex) purposes I was roaming. My first bill came in at around R7900, i.e. R4,500 for my personal line and Tablet with my daughter's lines only at around R400 each. The bill lingered around there and I was okay with that. In October 2014 my roaming just didn't work and I had to give the bank my Nigerian number for all my transactions. To my surprise I had the biggest bill to date when it came in in November 2014. I querried that with Vodacom and I was just not getting anywhere. My fiance's phone bill at the time also reflected roaming charges and shot up to about R6000! Her line had never been on Roaming, even when we travelled to Swaziland we had to rely on my line. The ordered me to pay while they were investigating.

To cut a long story short the cancelled my account and put it in Arrears of R43,000 which now appears as an installment on my ITC profile. I have tried to negotiate and even when to a point where I said they must hand it over to collections then so I can fight it legally and make arrangements if necessary. I still have an installment of R43,000 by Vodacom which has basically put my life on hold as when I apply for anything affordability becomes an issue for someone paying R43,000 a month for a phone line. I've tried to make an arrangement and I keep hearing that that installment will stay on my profile even if I do make an arrangement. I've tried to say I can take a personal loan and squash the account but with the installment I can't!

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!
