R540 wrongly debited from my account every month

Vodacom? Voda-frustration sound more like it.

I had a contract with Vodacom that lapsed in February 2020. In March I received an invoice for R1278. I queried the amount, and was told that I renewed my contract, which I didn't. I was advised to write an affidavit and send to the ***** department which I did. The ***** department confirmed that the contracted was not renewed. However, I was debited R540 in April, I called Vodacom Customer Care Service , and after 3 days of being transferred back and forth, which is annoying and frustrating, I finally spoke to someone from the Accounts department, who explained that I had to pay for the data and minutes I received in March and April, plus interest for the March account. This amounted to R350. I paid this amount on 28 April. I called the Cancellation Department, however they said I had to wait 24 hours before they could cancel it. As a result it lapsed to the next month, and I received more minutes and data, amounting to R125, which I paid on 2 May. Again after days of being transferred back and forth, which is annoying and frustrating, the Cancellation Department confirmed that my account was cleared and the contract was cancelled in May. Then, to my surprise, Vodacom has continued to debit R540 from my account, which is affecting my credit score, and again is annoying. On 18 August I called Vodacom Customer Care Service to find out why my account is still debited. I was transferred back and forth again, and finally a woman called Nonhlanhla Mbatha confirmed that the Accounts Department did not finish crediting my account. After this I sat on the phone for about 2 hours hoping to speak to someone from the Accounts department, but there was no answer.

I WANT VODACOM TO STOP DEBITING MY ACCOUNT, AND CLEAR ALL OUTSTANDING AMOUNTS ON MY ACCOUNT because they are invalid. It also costs me in bank charges to reverse the debit order payments, and this also affects my credit scoring.
