R50 000 MONTHLY INCOME FOR A CONTRACT??!

I'm honestly very annoyed, my fiance and myself went down to vodacom cellucity in N1 city today because we desperately needed to add something onto his existing contract. We then get informed that the application was denied, he phones customer service to find out why our application had been denied because it doesn't make sense we have a contract?? To which they respond he doesn't earn enough?? Uhmm I'm sorry yess how is R10 000-R12 000 not enough? They proceeded to tell him as he is aware the new terms state that each person's salary has to be at least R50k A MONTH... R50 000!! What normal every day South African makes that amount of money every month? Have you guys gone completely insane or just don't want customers anymore?
