R16900 DATA ********** USAGE DESPITE CALL LIMIT
Last September I set a R500 usage limit on my contract no. ***

This morning I received an sms from Vodacom stating that there was excessive usage on the line. I phoned Vodacom only to be told there was an amount of R16900 in data usage on the line.

I find this COMPLETELY unacceptable and I refuse to be held liable for 2 reasons:

1) I explicitly set a usage limit on the line in September 2014. The call center agent told me that the limit had fallen away when I did an upgrade in Feb 2015. However my argument is that when I took out the limit in September, nowhere in the disclaimer did it state that the limit would fall away when upgrading the line. How was I to know that upon upgrading, I would lose my limit?

2) Someone has **********ly used this contract to download an excessive amount of data. I am still in possession of the sim card for this contract, and it is currently not even in any device. I want to know where geographically this usage has been coming from.

I have logged S38591E-E4MQT for the technical team to investigate point 2). However I believe I should be absolved of this excessive usage on the merits of point 1) alone.
