QUOTED 10 000.00 FOR REPAIRING A PHONE THAT IS STILL UNDER THE WARRANTY PERIOD WITH NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE

On 28 June 2023 my mother took an iPhone 13 128GB to vodacom repair shop in Hatfield Pretoria for repairs.The phone switched off by itself on 27 June 2023 around 03:30pm. She arrived at vodacom Hatfield repair shop on 28 June 2023 around 11am to book the phone for repair.The phone is practically new and still under warranty because she took it on a contract on 06 may 2023.This morning(29 June 2023) she got an sms from their repair center asking her to either accept or decline the quote.it was surprising because the phone is still under warranty and there was supposed to be no charges for the repair as the phone has no physical damages.When she called them they accused her of having taken the phone to the Indian repair guys to get it fixed and the amount they are quoting her is R10000,00. How can someone take a phone that is practically new to have it fixed by unauthorized personnel while it is known very well that the phone is still new and under warranty.All we need is for vodacom repair Hatfield Pretoria to fix the phone without quoting because there is no physical damage on the phone and those are the terms and conditions that apply to each purchase of any device.
