Putting your device at risk at your Vodacom store

Please note that whenever your device is connected to any USB cable inside the Vodacom store, which are not changed specific to the manufacturer of your phone, you are putting your device at risk. Vodacom repair centre will not repair my phone under warranty with a USB cable melted inside the phone as the Samsung warranty is voided when a non-Samsung accessory, in my case the USB cable, is used. I have observed that all phones with similar connectors are plugged into the same cables inside the Vodacom store. Thus, Vodacom stores potentially voids your warranty when they connect your phone to their PC's to test, do software updates or data transfers.

Should your phone become defective as a result, the damage will be for your own account.

Thank you for the reply

This issue stems out of Vodacom repair centre refusing to repair my phone under warranty as the Energizer USB cable used is deemed a thrird party accessory that voids the warranty.

After more than a month of no reply from CRM and me having to follow up again, battling to get my questions answered I have eventually received an answer that third party accessries voids the warranty. I have entire email trail which I will make available, in which VC's repair centre passes the buck and claiming third party damage is not covered.

I am still a bit confused abouth whether it was third party damage or use of non-Samsung cable.

I need this investigated, as I am now reverting to social media to get Vodacom, Samsung and Energizer to agree on a resolution.

Thank you

Edward
