Purchased Content: Yola Media
Why does Vodacom allow 3rd party providers to add charges to customers' billing? I received an SMS at 23:55 (whilst I'm fast asleep) stating that I've been "successfully subscribed to Video R10 per day". How on earth is this possible? The agent at Vodacom tells me I may have clicked on a pop-up whilst browsing the internet, but I didn't even use my phone last night and as stated, I was sleeping. My Apple Watch can prove this. Anyways, the only thing the CS agent was able to tell me is that the content service is for Yola Media - never even heard of them but what I do know is they're a bunch of ******* preying on unsuspecting consumers. Why Vodacom is in partnership with them and collecting money on their behalf is beyond me. I get that in some convoluted way I am now liable for the R10 billed on my account, but Vodacom should absolutely refuse to pay over this money to Yola Media. Really disappointing.
