Promotional messages pointless and annoying
It was difficult to give 3 stars. The service is good, BUT Vodacom spam is terrible. I receive many useless SMSes and other messages that interrupt me every day. If my phone beeps it may be important, so I have to look. "Get more Vodabucks", "Watch *** video", "Well Done", "Your bill is ready" etc. Absolutely pointless. They do NOT make me EXCITED about what Vodacom offers - they only ANNOY me. I tried disabling this nonsense via the app but am not able to do so. What do you advise Vodacom?

I don't want this app because it seems that it wants to enable all sorts of payment options amongst other offers. I am sure that this will only become the source of more spam. The reviews on the play store are really bad. I am sorry that you can't do better Vodacom to limit the nonsense that regularly beeps distracting alerts on my phone. It is such a wasteful intrusion into a subscriber's life. Do you really think that we subscribe to Vodacom so that we can get excitement from all these pathetic, meaningless offers and promotions? Your marketing department should at least allow those of us discerning subscribers to opt out of your spam.

Hi - I received your email. You still want me to install another app - Vodapay - on my phone. I don't want this app because it seems that it wants to enable all sorts of payment options amongst other offers. I am sure that this will only become the source of more spam. 24 Oct 2023, 15:05No response??? I have typically just had my concentration distracted by one of your useless messages - "Get 30% more airtime on Vodapay ........". Of zero relevance to me. If I open the SMS, it wants me to install Vodapay. Can't you keep a client happy?
