Promotion vouchers
Bought a Samsung S8 in December from Vodacom Shelly Beach on promotion with a travel voucher. They stated that I will receive a SMS regarding the voucher soon. I never received any SMS and forgot about the R5000.00 travel voucher that was widely advertised. At the end of Jan I returned to the store to enquire about the voucher, and they stated that I must phone Vodacom and they will assist me. I called vodacom and was transferred to three different departments and then they referred me back to the shop. I refused to return to the shop and posted a comment on their Facebook site. They referred "me to madeforsummer.co.za" and could not complete the application form online. Sent a email to their contact us address on the website. Mail was read( read receipt) but no answer. Back to the shop , who now informed me that I must register on the website using the phone. Then I tried to register on the phone which was not successful. Phoned their customer care line , who after the second call informed me that the offer had expired. I requested the call centre to take up the matter with their management and stated to them that this was not acceptable and if the matter is not resolved that I would post on your site to complain. Nobody bothered to phone me back or have I received any feedback from Vodacom or anybody related to this offer. I have come to the conclusion that these specials from Vodacom are a **** and they try to make it nearly impossible for you to claim your voucher. When I bought the phone in Shelly beach nobody explained the complicated procedure to me and they were only interested in selling me the phone ASAP I have two other phone contract nearing their end and WILL not renew any contract with this company again after about 20 years of being a client. If you advertise a special I expect to receive the goods/voucher when purchasing the product. I am giving Vodacom a week to sort their mess out, if not I am taking this matter up with the NCA
