After my review on 02 July 2019, Vodacom called me. I spoke with Lance. He informed me that since my phone was not purchased on line, Vodacom could not come collect the faulty phone from me. I was also told since I returned the phone to Vadashop 7 days after purchase, I was not going to get a new phone. I explained that the Vodacom after sales person I spoke to did not inform me that I need to take the phone back to the shop. I was told someone would come collect the phone and bring me a new one. After 5 days of waiting, I then decided to take the phone back to the shop. Lance told me that notwithstanding that the consultant misinformed me (that the phone would be collected ), Vodacom's policy is that I cannot get a new phone if I return a faulty one after 7 days of purchase. I was told that the faulty phone (which I had waited for close to a month) was repaired and I could go collect it. I went to Vodashop Sandton City the day after I spoke to Lance (he had informed me the phone was ready for collection on the day we spoke). When I got there, they had no idea I would be coming to collect the phone. I was told they had to follow some process before releasing it. I demanded the phone because Lance had told me I could go collect it. I was told the phone could read the SIM (the problem was that it was not reading the SIM card) so it was fixed. When I got home and inserted the SIM card, I found that the phone still had the same problem. I called the shop and I was told to return the phone. I informed them that I would return it when I am back because I'm currently away on business. A few days later I got a call from someone from the shop asking for the phone's serial number, which I gave to him. I still have not returned the phone because I'm still away.
Bottom line is, I now DEMAND a new phone, PERIOD!!!
