Primary address changed to a ********** Address
Yesterday, I upgraded my phone contract in person at a Vodacentre outlet.
Last night when I came home, I found that the other two numbers on my name is also due for an upgrade and I phoned the ********** 4. When we got to the final stages to arrange for delivery, the agent read the address on the system and it was completely different from what I gave up on the system.
The address is as follows:
2 Ncondo Place (A hotel in Umhlanga) Kempton Park Mpumalanga
So you can see the street, town and province are all in conflict - not a casual mistake as far as I am concerned.
He also told me that according to him the address was changed yesterday. I further understand that there were a request logged to change both my address and email, although it seems my mail is not changed yet. I promptly cancelled the upgrade until I have clarity on the matter.
I need to get to the bottom of this. The Vodacom system without doubt keeps a full audit trail of what is done on profiles but 111 is a dead end geared to frustrate users. They are clueless, unhelpful and do not realise this breach can be a real problem - not only affecting me.
I visited the Vodacentre first thing this morning and the cashier who helped me yesterday denies that the change was due to his action. That said, he reckons reckons I should not believe everything I hear over the phone WRT this matter and I asked him if the other Vodacom rep was lying, to which he rep**** it could be the case.
I need to know which of my details were changed and certainly we need to find out by who it was done.
