prices on website not up to date

I was due for an upgrade,decided to upgrade on the vodacom website, specifiprice quoted was 229 for 5gbs, received an error report,so called the customer care was told that price was no longer available as the oFfer ended a week ago.another customer care agent told me the descrepency is caused by Vodacom only updating their website after the 7th of each month,however Its the 15th of sept and the offer is still shown on vodacoms website with no indictaion that's its expired or discontinued.
