Price Increase!!
We upgraded one of our Business contracts on 12 February 2023. Why were customers who upgraded in the last month not advised there might be a price increase? Or was this a clever attempt to lock as many customers into another 24/36 month contract knowing that Vodacom would lose these customer to other providers due to the price hike. This is blatant consumer misrepresentation and exploitation.
Network connection is at times so poor that we having to contact our clients via WA, with this I would like to add there is no load shedding in our area so cannot be used as an excuse. No follow up is made by Vodacom to assess if connectivity has improved. The fault logged is merely closed and consumers need to log another fault when connectivity becomes a problem again which is on average 2-3 weeks. Latest problem…call dropping, frustration of speaking with clients and realizing the call dropped. Vodacom is making it impossible to run an effective, efficient, professional business, yet has the audacity to increase their fees by 6.7%
Vodacom has stated the following “Despite the range of challenges we are facing including increased battery theft, base station vandalism and a difficult economic climate with inflation, exchange rate pressures and intensified load shedding, we remain committed to keeping our prices as low as possible. Firstly “all” business are affected by inflation, tough economic climate and load shedding not just Vodacom. Further from this statement it seems the cost of battery theft and base station vandalism is now passed on to the consumer!!
Please respond to my complaints above via Hellopeter as I believe many other clients are asking the same questions, have the same problems and have the right to know.
