Prepaid Line Locked!

On 13/14 June I cancelled my Red Select+ line (No device deal) with Vodacom, which took me 4+ days as the consultants wanted to charge me R18000+ for cancelling a NO DEVICE DEAL. Only after I got legal advice, they changed their tune as to the consultant just was not informed etc..

On 30 July 2020 this contract ended. Vodacom cancelled everything, incl my vodamail email. I needed to re-activate that. I was told to recharge within 2 days to keep my number active, I did this. Recharging R500 airtime and 3gig data. To my surprise I could not use my line on 31 July as "You have reached your call limit" was played everytime I tried phoning.

On 1 August this error dissappeared, until Monday 3 August 2020 16:16 when I was informed via a sms "You have exceeded 100% of your R43 voluntary call limit usage on ***. To update your limit, visit Vodacom.co.za or call 082 111 for queries."

This is a prepaid line, how the hell is this possible? Now, three days later my line is still kept hostage by Vodacom not removing this Call Limit. I've been promised call backs, promised it would be sorted out by the next morning before 9, nothing.

I got a call at 16:45 today informing me they will only be assisting me further tomorrow again as they only work till 17:00!! My line is still not working! I am fed up. I was calm when Vodacom stole my 20gig+ WHICH I PAID FOR when my contract was cancelled. But now i am no longer having patience with their incomptence. My line needs to be unlocked NOW! Vodacom is *****ing from me. First my data, now my airtime and income!

Seems as of I should consider legal action everytime before Vodacom listens to me, so maybe I should if this is not fixed before tomorrow morning (7 August 2020) 09:00. Legal action will then incl the loss of data, which i paid for, and loss of income for the three days Vodacom has kept my line hostage.

Problem was resolved after 5 days of struggling. Still no clarity as to what caused this. Vodacom offered 5gig and R500 airtime as compensation.
