prepaid device purchase
I purchased a Vodacom Tab 10 (Prepaid) on 17/12/2015 from Medicare Cellular in Laudium, Pretoria. When I opened and switched it on the next morning, one side of the screen was pixelated. I took the device back to the store for replacement or a refund so that I could purchase another tablet as I needed it for immediate use. I was refused a refund, and also told that they could not replace it. It was taken in as an OBF and I was assured that I would have a new device within the next few days. I followed up on 23/12/2015 but was told that the device was returned by Vodacare unfixed as the consultant booked it as a repair not an OBF when it was sent for assessment. Today is 28/12/2015 and I still have not been given a device.

What is my status in this situation? Surely I have a right to a device that I have already paid cash for.

This is bad practise for a business carrying Vodacom's reputable name. I have 3 contracts with Vodacom and have always rated the company way above its competitors.
