Premature upgrade dissatisfaction

Firstly, when I called and spoke to the consultant at the Vodacom shop in Secunda Mall on 11 April 2017, she informed me that premature upgrades are no longer allowed and that I must wait until 24 June to do my upgrade. I then called the Vodacom customer line 082111 where they informed me that I can do the upgrade one month before the upgrade date and she gave me the upgrade departments number, so that afternoon I called the upgrade department myself to confirm that premature upgrades are no longer available. I dialled ********** and spoke to Tsepho, who informed me that I can immediately do the premature upgrade while on the line with him. I informed him that I want the Iphone 6 with 32gig on the Smart Top Up S+ contract for R349 per month, where he told me that I will then just pay the current handset premium extra for the next 4 months and I agreed to that. He told me that that there is stock and that I can choose between a white one and a space grey one, so I told him that I want the white phone. He took my delivery address and told me that the confirmation team will contact me either the 12th or the 13th to confirm my contract package and that I would receive the phone the day after the confirmation team called me, but also that because it is long weekend, if they only call me on Thursday, I will only receive the phone on the Tuesday the 18th, and I agreed that it is fine. By 11:21 on the 12th, the confirmation department hadn’t contacted me, so I contacted the Upgrade department on ********** and spoke to Sibitza who told me that Tshepo never put through my upgrade and there shows no upgrade pending on my name, so she did the upgrade again and got her manager to approve the upgrade. She told me that there is no stock and that they will have to order the phone and that there are only space grey phones available. She said that by the week of the 24th, the phone should arrive and I will then be contacted by the courier before delivery. She also stated that the confirmation team would contact me to confirm my package and I accepted this information and ended the call. The afternoon of the 12th after 17:00 I was driving and my phone rang, but I couldn’t answer it while driving, so I called the upgrade department as soon as I got out of my car and told them that I missed the call from the confirmation department, so the lady stated that she will leave a note for them to call me back. By 12:36 on the 13th, the confirmation team still didn’t contact me, so I called the upgrade department again on ********** and spoke to Bongani who then sent a mail to the confirmation department requesting them to contact me urgently. They never contacted and then the long weekend came and after the long weekend on the 18th at 10:17 I contacted the upgrade department to inquire as to why the confirmation department still hasn’t contacted me where upon they told me that they escalated it to their manager to take it up with the confirmation department. By 13:51 that afternoon I hadn’t received feedback so I called the upgrade department again and spoke to Zinzile, who checked and informed me that the confirmation team is on a back log with calls and will call me by end of business on the 18th. They never called and then by 10:33 today, I called to inquire and just as I spoke to Cindy, Moses contacted me from the confirmation department and took all my details again. I asked whether there is stock now and by when I will receive my phone and He informed me that on their stock sheet it reflects that the phones will be at their warehouse today and that I will receive an sms with the tracking number shortly and that RAM would call me and then I should get the phone by tomorrow if they call me today. By 13:10 today, I still didn’t receive the sms with the tracking number on it, so I called the upgrade department and spoke to Mandipa. I asked her to check why I haven’t received the sms as yet and She informed me that the phone is on back log and according to her, the stock sheet reflects that the phones are on a shipment scheduled for week ending 28 April and that there are limited stock so I might not get it then either. This is very concerning to me, as every time I contact Vodacom I am getting different information, making me think that the upgrade team are *********** in assisting their clients and putting my hopes up from the beginning with the first time I did the upgrade telephonically with Tshepo, only to find out that he didn’t even do the upgrade and gave me incorrect information. I also don’t understand how Vodacom has a special, but don’t have stock for that special?? I would appreciate it if Vodacom could provide me with a speedy service and ensure that I receive a new phone urgently.
