Premature Cancellation

<p>I requested for a quotation on my premature cancellation for 2 of my numbers. I received correspondence on the 1st number at 6:51 am from Raquel Dionene Boyd. I want to port to Cell C and would like to keep my number. I did not receive confirmation for the 2nd number until after 11 (11:20 to be exact) from a Marelise Carelse. The quote indicated that there was no amount owing after which i sent correspondence thanking her for the information as i see the amount owing is R 0.00. I was in the mall at at the time and went to Cell Cto start the process of porting to Cell C. i was under the impression that according to their records this was correct. While i was busy discussing the options and completing the forms with a consultant at the Cell C shop in Wonderpark, i got a call from Marelise. She advised that there was a system error and there is actually an amount owing. which annoyed me because i was informed by way of quote that all was in order. i was in such shock because now i have started the process to port and now 33 minutes later, she called to say it was wrong. She said the system made and error and that she has sent the corrected quote.</p> <p> </p> <p>I emailed her back explaining that i am at Cell C completing the paper work based on the information provided. and that the fact that the "system" made a mistake is really not my fault. and asked her what now? because i would then have to pay for an additional contract and asked for a manager to call me back. to which she responded:</p> <p>"As per our telephonic interaction on the number 079........</p> <p> </p> <p>I have send you the correct premature cancellation quote with the amounts reflecting, which you are liable for if you want to continue with the cancellation.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have requested that my supervisor contact you back as per your request."</p> <p> </p> <p>I have not heard a single thing from her, or her manager....</p> <p> </p> <p>this is not the first time that i have had issued with Vodacom.</p> <p> </p> <p>When i contacted the upgrade department, i was informed that i can upgrade 15 December. then when i went to a Vodashop, they said no, only in January. My husband is also due for an upgrade in Jan according to the "system" but he received a notification that he is now due for an upgrade. How the hell can the departments not know what eachother is doing????</p> <p> </p> <p>I upgraded my contract almost 2 years ago, and i was contacted to change my plan to the smart XL as i was going over my allocated time. when i spoke to the consultant they advised that the new amount would be almost R 700.00 which i accepted only to be smacked with a bill of over 1300 because they failed to advise that the amount did not include the handset cost. but i left it because i just didnt have the time to deal with that.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am not going to accept the quote as this is not my fault that the system (or possible Marelise Carelse) did not initially send me the correct information. I cannot believe that she just expected that i would be fine with the oops, system problem excuse.</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards</p> <p>Your once Loyal, now disgruntled client</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

i received a call from Romeo ('supervisor) who told me that there would have been no negative financial impact for me as a result of their mistake. and that there would have been "fail safe measures" in place to stop me from porting over. I have been told in uncertain terrms that they picked up the error after i sent them an email indicating that i will continue with the port because of their false representation. And that the fact that their system generated an incorrect amount owing is really not their fault and they will deny me the right to port because once i app**** to port to cell c, i would have been advised that they will reject because there is now an amount owing and i would not have had any financial implications because they would at porting stage picked up that there was an error. I cannot see how that is my problem either.

There is a total lack of inter departmental communication because no-one knows exactly what is happening. I am still waiting for feedback on recordings i have requested earlier on this year. to this date i have received nothing! not a single email indicating any feedback,

Rome said that i will now be used as an example for them to improve on their service delivery. wow, thanks Vodacom, i really appreciate the fact that you treat your clients like **** and you expect us to be ok with that.

i regret the day that i signed up with you because they take NO accountability whatsover for any of your business interactions.

Oh and the supervisor did receive a request to call me on Sunday (apparently Romeo) because he was not in yesterday....i dont understand as this issue was raised before 12 pm. So hey, i really don't want to deal with the fact that we messed up so i will just leave it until it becomes an issue. WHY must I remind you that YOU need to contact me back.

Lack of service, lack of accountability, lack of people s****s.. I am at a loss for words.

oh and the fact that they called me within an hour to advise they made a mistake is sufficient for them they i WILL be liable for the fees. and i should just be OK with being treated like this because they cannot understand that i am upset about this.
