Predatory behaviour towards older people

My 80+ year old mother has had a contract with Vodacom for years. Late last year someone from Vodacom phoned and strong-armed her into "upgrading" to a "top-up" plan. She did not understand but repeatedly said that she did not want to upgrade.

In January I asked Vodacom call centre for that recording and never got it. We asked for this change to be cancelled at Vodacom Chatz Connect (speaking to Dylan van der Walt) ; but now, several months later she again ran out of airtime and I never heard a word about that recording again.

I can't have her struggle without a phone, she is old and lives alone and in lockup. Vodacom call centre (last time I called it) is so full of background noise that a person cannot hear what their consultant is saying.

This is predatory behaviour from Vodacom, coupled with super bad service and downright breaking the law by not supplying the recording I have asked for effecting the cancellation (which they claimed was the easiest way out of the mess).
