Potential client lost

I went through all the effort of filling in details online to submit an application for a new contract "Home Internet 100Mbps Fair Usage Policy of 2TB* + Vodacom S90 4G LTE CAT6 Router with Backup Battery" for R599p/m x24 months on Monday 10th, 2024. I received a 'Lead Confirmation' email "One of our call centre agents will contact you on [cell number] within the next 24 hours in order to finish processing your contract application"... I contacted Vodacom [***4] myself on Thursday 13th, 2024 to follow-up on the status. Firstly, the agent at the new contracts department who answered (unfortunately I did not get her name), was unprofessional as she only said "Hello" and did not answer the phone like a professional call centre agent usually would by also asking how she could assist me, so that immediately annoyed me, is this how Vodacom employees treat potential new clients or even existing clients? Secondly, when I provided my ID number to check the status, she said that there is no pending application on the system for me. This is terrible service I experienced from the start. Please don't provide the functionality of online applications when it doesn't even register on your systems and ensure that your employees have phone etiquette.

Sure, the consultants are most likely not even aware of this automated reply which Vodacom replies to everyone's complaints on hellopeter. Rather just focus on improving your systems and customer services.
