possible ***** no one cares

I almost fell off my chair when my debit order went through on the 27 July for an amount of R2839.75. When I called to enquire on the 28 July I was told that most of the bill was data usage, which I cannot understand as I always have a data bundle balance so how would the “data usage” work if not off the megs that I have available? I was told that a call would be logged to investigate. I still have not heard back. What makes this even more suspicious is that I was in hospital for almost 3 weeks with limited access to my phone, it was off most time, so again, how is this high data usage possible? Over the 9+ years that I have been with Vodacom, my phone bill has never once gone over R950, average spend is about R750.00. I see that so far my bill for this month is sitting at R2038 – again I refuse to accept this, as I have data, so again how is this possible? I was told that someone would contact me between 24 – 48 hours and to date no one has. When I called the call centre this morning, was thrown from pillar to post without any help. I find it strange that you don’t have a ***** department?
Secondly, I was informed this morning that my account is in arrears. When I called the accounts department to query this, I was told that the invoice in arrears is the CURRENT invoice that will be coming off end of August via debit order, NOW AM I THE ***** HERE? How can an invoice that is coming off end of August be in arrears – THIS IS BEYOND PATHETIC.
All I want is for someone to please explain to me why the data usage is so high and what has made it so high. Surely you would not appreciate R2800 being deducted off your account when you have a budget to work with and now the budget is out the window. I only use my phone for text, watsup, calls and occasionally facebook as I have unlimited Wi-Fi so don’t require much internet on my phone.
I am very disappointed with the service I have received and would appreciate if someone could please contact me to resolve this issues. I cannot afford to pay another R2800+ this month again. If you are not able to assist in this then I will reverse my debit order that went off, stop any future debit orders and get the ombudsman involved until we can clarify what the problem is here.
