Ported to vodacom for better service and was I wrong

On 20-17-04-15 I ported to vodacom. On the 18th I app**** for two cellphone contracts. It was approved on the same day. only after approval I was told that caller I.D is not included. I asked the consultant to put the one phone to my number and the second one to my wifes number which is a vodacom sim and number. He told me he cannot do it I can when I receive the handsets go to any vodacom outlet and have them activate it. I waited till the 24th and the I received the two handsets and one sim card of which I was told not to activate as the wifes number must be activated to that phone and contract. On the 25th I went to a vodacom store and I was told they cannot do it. They did a sim swop for me for the new device. On the 26th I discovered that no sim swop was done. Why did I then purchase a sim from them. Now it came to light that both contracts was allocated to one number. The only way to reslove the matter is to return the devices. Ram couriers has to come and collect it and I must re-apply for the phones and everything must start all over. I cannot do anything with my number at this stage because the whole mess must be fixed first. I have came to learn that the people at vodacom has no clue what they are doing. You always stay on the phone for long and at last nobody can resolve the issue. I have to wait for who knows how long in order for them to fix the problem vodacom created. This is very very poor service and I do not agree with the resolution. Just add my wifes number to the other contact like I asked for. They messed things up now that no one can do noting on my number.
