Ported in to Vodacom - Unable to receive certain calls for 2 months

Good morning,

I am a very unhappy Vodacom customer. On the 20th of June 2018, I ported in to Vodacom. I was told the porting takes 24 hours so I expected to be an active Vodacom customer from 14:00 on the 21st of June and this didn't happen.

I made numerous calls to the Vodacom call centre receiving conflicting information, which didn't help. I was able to make calls but I was not receiving calls. Eventually I started receiving some calls around the 25th of June. I further reported to the Vodacom shop in Gateway shopping centre that other people are unable to go through my phone. Some technician told me about the settings and fiddled with my phone then convinced me that it's sorted.

Sadly though, today the 25th of August exactly two months later there are people who are unable to go through my number. When they call me it says ****this number doesn't not exist****. I am fortunate to know some of these people as they are able to communicate with me via other channels. However, as a Small Business owner who relies on my mobile phone for every call THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM FOR ME. I'm not sure how many potential customers are unable to contact me. I am not sure how much business I've lost because of this. I do know one client who told me via email that they have been trying to call me numerous times but the number I've given them DOES NOT EXIST.

I reported this again to Vodacom on the 21st of August and they told me it will be resolved in 24 hours and they will do a follow up call. I gave them a list of numbers that are unable to call me, at least three numbers that i am aware of. Yesterday the 24th of August they closed the ticket they logged, no call received but an sms, whicg says they have resolved my query I must reboot my phone. I obliged by rebooting my phone and thereafter I asked one of the people I know that are unable to reach me to try calling me, the problem still exists nothing has been resolved. This is disgusting to say the least.

Vodacom needs to take their millions of clients seriously. To them losing me as a customer is nothing yet to me losing one client through their bad service is a big deal.

I'm very disappointed.
