Popi Act Violation, Violation of Personal Information, Unauthorized access to Personal contract or information and attempt billing there off for the 2nd time.

Dear Vodacom

I'm writing this message as a very concerned client that has gone through numerous of attempts to try and reach an understanding the vulnerability of my personal information you hold and my account being exposed for the second attempt to *****ulent activation activities.

I have a 2tb fair usage policy, 100mb up and 100mb down home Wi-Fi bundle contract with the Vodacom max 25 router included.

Since activation this unit was placed in our house and never been moved or sim card removed with the router provided. Lately we have been through unnecessary difficulties phoning numerous of Vodacom consultants regarding *****ulent activation subscriptions on this sim card inside the router, note sim card has never been taken out ever.

Escalation has happened when we first encountered this 1 night when the internet was extremely poor like many other times as well, I might add. I went into the rooter settings under management to reboot the device and hopefully refresh the network and see if the services are better afterwards which didn't help really.

Then I saw I had 4 messages which I hardly read, the showed *****ulent activity activation on this sim card, please see screen shots. We escalated this immediately and the Vodacom provider consultant said it is ***** because the sim card always remains in the router and was done ******** against us. No authorization or consent was giving by us for any activations of *****ulent activity on this account. He blocked these subscription's and said he will flag this sim card for future proof of *****ulent activations. This morning, I wanted to browse LinkedIn, and I saw the line was almost dead as normal given past experience having this great deal we thought we will be receiving or having 1 of Vodacom's top contracts which is very disappointing.

The 2nd attempt happened again after midnight tonight while everybody was sleeping already seeing 11 hours after only now logging into the router to reboot it AGAIN the same *****ulent activity being authorized and accessed onto our personal contract with you our Supplier Vodacom that has got no security being our supplier and exposing us to *****ulent activity through your network and compromising the POPI Act activating suspicious and un authorized activity on our account from these sites.

I had to phone again your customer support and escalate it again because your systems that's supposed to protect your provide security and the clients security is failing miserably and exposing information to access personal contracts and add billing data which compromises the whole effort of the POPI Act.

The Vodacom consultant I spoke to this morning said as well this is *****ulent activity being activation through your network effecting our agreement and our personal contract agreement protecting us with the POPI Act which is clearly being neglected through accessing our personal contract having with you and we are not aware what personal information is being leaked knowing this is the 2nd attempt of suspicious *****ulent activities being activated in a short time on our sim card deal we have with you that has never been taken out the router that is build and fixed to the living room wall.
