Poor Vodacom Service

I took a 5G data contract***) with Vodacom 24 months ago and it expired in November 2019, however Vodacom continues to bill me. After reaching out to Vodashop outlet where I was advised to contact *** and follow prompts for cancellation, and I did as advised. I logged my first call at 16H27 on the 3rd December 2019 and spoke to a gentleman called Jerome, in his own words 'I cannot access your account because its on the old system". He said he was putting me back on the line for somebody who has access to the "old system" the line was cycled out of the system. I phoned back at 16H34 and received by Jerome who I did recognize by the voice and upon him hearing me saying I just spoke to him and its about cancellation, then the line dropped again I suspect this was purposeful. On the day I called five time in total, spoke to Shamon (not sure of correct spelling) who reiterated the same challenge of having difficulty accessing my account and she was putting me back on the system to speak to somebody with access. The line with Shamon went off and I called again and spoke to Celesti (not sure of correct spelling) who also mentioned the system access challenge that she has and she committed to call me the following day with a solution. Unfortunately she did not call i suppose as usual. On the 4th December 2019 at 14H09 I called *** fortunately or unfortunately ended up at Jerome of which after introducing myself and mentioning that I spoke him yesterday the line dropped, I am sure this was purposeful because lines only dropped when I speak to him. I called again and spoke to Shamon who figuratively threw her hands in the air that she could not help me. I then requested to speak to her supervisor, who she said his name is Chris Naidoo, unfortunately he was apparently busy and I requested Chris email address and cellphone and Shamon advised me that she could neither share Chris email address or cellphone number.

At the moment my issue is not resolved because no one has access to the Vodacom old system however the Vodacom old system has the capability to bill me even after the contract has ended.

My view and conclusion is that Vodacom is useless and they would go at all cost not to cancel an expired contract by making all excuses, i wonder if this is not Guptarization. I feel a big company like Vodacom has stooped to low to handle our queries in this manner if they I really interested in the future of their business, good luck

Regards Patrick

Hi, my nightmare with Vodacom continues. After I have cancelled the contract on expiry and being affirmed that the contract has been terminated I now receives a bill on the same account ***). I called the accounts center several times and my reference numbers are as follows (S4-A1X61-1FG0, #***, EC-120K-20ZZPV) and what I was told is that somebody pressed the wrong button thus this has migrated to Pre-Paid. The startling fact is that I am not using this number at all, however the account continues to run, as of today 20/03/2020 when I phoned *** to follow up on my query i was advised that the account continues to be operational and i need to contact ***.

I have called *** after entering the number I am querying I was advice by the pre recording that i need to call 082 135 because the number I am querying is prepaid. I called 082 135 there is no option of cancellation.

Clearly someone is using the number and I am being billed even after I had cancelled the number upon contract expiry.

Can I please get somebody from Vodacom who can assist.

Regards
Patrick
