Poor training of customer care line staff

I have been more than 1 hour on the line to customer care and still they have not been able to resolve my issue. Instead I am being bounced back and forth between departments. I canceled my contract and requested that I get migrated over to pre-paid. After the migration took place, I am unable to access the internet. The prepaid department is telling me they can't help me I need to speak to the contract department. The contract department is telling they can't help me I need to speak to cancellations department and they are again sending me back to the prepaid department. I am still on hold and have been for more than an hour now, I am going to update this review with the names every support person I am speaking to. Just to show how ill-trained they are.

Dexter - from the contract department was finally able to assets me. He told me I need switch off my phone and switch it back on and within 6 hours the new settings should work. He also alluded to the root cause of the problem, which is that Vodacom is using a new system and clearly not everyone is either on the new system or knows how to use it. Total time spent on the phone with varies personnel 2 hours and 15 min.

It's been nearly 24 hours now and still I am unable to connect to the internet via the Vodacom network. It turns out Dexter was just as unhelpful as the rest of the call center staff.

I was able to get a response back via the customer support emails. Will respond on this thread regarding the outcome, but I think it's starting to become time to switch to MTN.
