Poor telephonic service for loyal customers

A while ago, my contract lapsed and my bill became exorbitant. I called 082135 last week to ask if I could do a downgrade on my contract. The reason I called and didn't go in to the store is because I have broken my back. I wanted a Sim only deal. The first lady I spoke to said I can only get a Sim only deal for R1500. And then the call cut off. I then called back and the lady went through some options and said I have to take a phone (I didn't want a phone), she promised a smart watch, and she assured me that my contract will be no more than R938. A big difference from what I was first told. Today I called back to ask them if I could change my debited bank account to my personal account (it was on my business account), and was told to go into the store to do so. I was also told I could get a better deal in store if I wanted a Sim only deal. So with my broken back and the help of a friend, I went into the Rosebank Vodashop. I was helped by Chandler, who arranged first and foremost to have the phone collected from me. The lady on the phone, Lerato, who was very rude to me, said it would take 7-14 working days to collect. Howcome if it took no more than 2 days to deliver?? I was told I can then call *** to cancel the upgrade I had just done and then go into the store again to do get a better upgrade. Does anyone realise how much time and pain this is costing me? All because Vodacom customer care staff are only interested in making the highest possible sale? Chandler was lovely and told me that the ladies on the phone were not honest with me and didn't give me all my options. I was most impressed with her customer care. If this review was about her alone, I would give it five stars. But it's about Vodacom as a whole. I have been a loyal Vodacom customer since the inception of mobile phones in the 90s and have kept the same number for about thirty years. Doesn't that alone deserve better service? Can anyone from higher up take over my case, make sure the unopened new phone is collected and that my contract is updated to a more reasonable Sim only package for 24 or even 36 months without a glitch or without me having to run around with a broken back? Is that too much to ask for some honesty from my service provider after thirty years of loyalty? And please may I ask, because the issue lies with Vodacom staff messing up in the first place, am I still going to be paying admin, delivery and collection fees on top of my new contract fee? Please assist me?
