Poor Service With Cancelling A Contract

I have been a dedicated Vodacom customer for over 10 years. On Monday the 6th of January 2020 I decided to cancel my contract due to high billing and incorrect charges that I have been receiving over the past few months. I received a quote to prematurely cancel my contract which I paid at The Cavendish 4U Vodacom store. I was informed that I would need to contact Vodacom Cancellation *** to inform them in order to port my number to prepaid. Upon waiting 30mins for someone to assist me I was informed that I need to call back within 24 hours in order to change the number to prepaid. I was obviously furious but called back the 8th of Jan 2020. Waited another 20mins to be told no I need to wait 5-7 working days to change the number to prepaid as the payment first needs to reflect then some from "back office" will assist me. Obviously furious once again, I called back the 9th of Jan and asked what the status is, the operator informed me that I now need to send through the signed quote, proof of payment and a copy of my ID to process the cancellation and convert my number to prepaid.

By now I am completely dumb struck, as every single time I have been given a different excuse as to why my number cannot be converted to prepaid immediately as I paid the full cancellation amount of over R5900 without delay and yet they can not convert my number.

I am so disappointed with the service received by Vodacom. After emailing the requested information I received a confirmation email after 48 hours stating that my issue will be resolved by the 28th of January 2019. This is completely ridiculous. I want my number converted today, as I would like to make use of the FNB sim card that I have purchased which allows me the option of unlimited calls for the value of R250 I am not fixed to any contract which means I can cancel at anytime without any additional charges.

I have been billed a different amount every month by Vodacom, requested a refund and they did not even refund the full amount.

I have a data sim where is get 10gigs day and 10gigs night data per month for R179 but I have been billed R219, when I wanted to cancel that sim as well, they gave me an option of a better deal, where I get 20gigs instead of 10gigs for R199. Why do I need to cancel my contract in order to get a better deal. I will never recommend Vodacom to anyone.

No one can assist you. No one knows what the process is. Incorrect billing. Long waiting periods and poor customer service.

I am officially done, please give assist, convert my number to prepaid???
