POOR SERVICE (vodacom Reference Number: ***0)

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM VODACOM ON 05/01/2017 OFFERING A 5 GIG DATA CARD AND MOBILE WIFI LTE ROUTER. I ACCEPTED THE OFFER AND WENT THROUGHT THE APPLICATION PROCESS. I DID QUALIFY FOR THE DEAL AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE DELIVERY BETWEEN 3-5 WORKING DAYS. I CALLED 082111 ON 10/01/2017 BECAUSE I HAD NOT YET RECEIVED DELIVERY. THE CALL CENTRE AGENT CONTACTED THE SALES DEPARTMENT WHO CONFIRMED THERE WAS A DELAY BUT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE DELAY WAS AND I WOULD RECEIVE MY DEVICE BEFORE FRIDAY 13/01/2017. I ASKED THEM WHAT TO DO IF I DID NOT RECEIVE IT BY THEN AND THEY HAD CONFIRMED "FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE" THAT I WOULD RECEIVE DELIVERY.

I DID NOT RECEIVE DELIVERY AND ONCE AGAIN CALLED 082111 ON 13/01/2017 TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS THE STATUS. THE CALL CENTRE AGENT PUT ME ON HOLD AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH SIM CARDS AVAILABLE???

I WAS THEN TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE DELIVERY ON TUESDAY 17/01/2017! AM I GOING TO GET ANOTHER BUNCH OF EXCUSES WHEN I DONT RECEIVE DELIVERY ON TUESDAY???

THIS IS THE MOST POOR SERVICE I HAVE RECEIVED FROM VODACOM. ESPECIALLY AFTER I HAD BEEN CALLED WITH THE OFFER, I DID NOT CALL VODACOM FOR A DEAL!

I SPENT A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME FOLLOWING UP ON THIS ISSUE WITH VERY LITTLE REGARD FROM VODACOM DUE TO THE INCONVINIENCE!

WHY WASNT I NOTIFIED OF THE DELAY BY SMS OR A PHONE CALL???? I QUITE OFTEN RECEIVE SMS'S ABOUT OFFERS AND OTHER TIME WASTING TOPICS FROM VODACOM AND BUT WHY NOT A COURTESY CALL OR SMS TO REPORT THE DELAY?

I WORK IN AN INDUSTRY THAT REQUIRES ME OUT OF THE OFFICE AT RANDOM TIMES AND I PURPOSELY REMAINED IN OFFICE THIS ENTIRE WEEK WAITING FOR DELIVERY!

IF I HAD KNOWN IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN THIS MUCH TIME AND EFFORT AFTER BEING CALLED WITH THE OFFER FROM VODACOM I WOULD NEVER HAVE SIGNED UP FOR IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND VODACOMS SERVICE TO ANYONE I KNOW!

Reviewer Update

Just an update on Vodacoms outstanding service.

I got a call on Monday 2017-01-16 from a call centre agent at Vodacom telling me they had misled me with the deal they had proposed to me. He wanted to know if i would except an increase of R29 for the contract vodacom had called to offer me!

Really!!! After keeping me on the line saying i would get my delivery on Tuesday i get a call saying i have to pay more!

I did not accept his proposal and i told him to get his manager to listen to the recorded call from vodacom when they proposed the data deal to me. The deal was initially for a 3G wifi router and 5gigs per month, i declined that offer and the sales agent spoke to her supervisor and both of them confirmed to me that i would get the LTE router. That is the only reason why i agreed to the deal!

Cell C currently has a deal with a LTE router and 5gigs for R199 per month. Why would i want to pay more?

I get a call again from him later in the day saying vodacom will credit me R29 x 24 months = R696 upfront and would i accept paying the extra R29 for the 24 month contract! I did not agree to that either and the guy says theres nothing he can do about it and that was the end,.....

Can Vodacom please do look into this and provide feedback on their misleading sales offers and pathetic customer service.
