Poor service from Vodacom online & RAM couriers

I find it extremely disappointing & frustrating that in order for issues with Vodacom to be addressed, one unfortunately has to resort to a public platform such as this. Vodacom only appears to take things seriously when you start complaining to the broader public & when their reputation is on the line. This is the third time I have needed to use Hello Peter in order for a matter to be addressed.

I recently opened a new contract with Vodacom online. However, the phone provided with the contract only worked for 10 days. I then proceeded to CANCEL my contract on the 12 May 2020 & was told that I should wait for RAM couriers to collect. I explicitly told Vodacom to please make sure they collect from the same address that they originally delivered the phone too. Alas, this was not done & RAM arrived at the wrong address on the 22 May. I proceeded to contact both RAM & Vodacom to inform them of the mistake & clarified the new collection address. Despite NUMEROUS calls to Vodacom & being told "someone will be in contact with you to discuss further" & that "the matter has been escalated", I have NOT received ONE phone call back & the matter has still NOT been resolved. The only calls I have been receiving from Vodacom is from the accounts department becaus of course Vodacom would demand that I pay for the contract even though I haven't been using the phone or the contract itself.

It has been nearly a month now & I have tried my best to be understanding & patient. I know with the current pandemic there are delays but a 1 month delay & the poor service delivery is really just not acceptable.

Please can Vodacom & RAM couriers urgently sort this matter out.

It has been 7 days since my last post & my matter has still not been resolved. I have only been contacted by someone once. And this was at 6 pm on Friday evening. Since then, I have had no feedback.

I just need a cellphone collected so that I can cancel this contract. What is so difficult about a collection? I am even prepared to personally drop the cellphone off at RAM couriers if it means that this issue will be resolved.

I seriously expect better service from Vodacom. Needless to say, this is the LAST time I will EVER use Vodacom as a network provider. Vodacom has lost me as a customer going forward & I will definitely be cautioning all those around me against this network.

If the cellphone is not collected by Friday 19 June 2020 & the matter is not sorted, I will be pursuing legal action as per the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 of South Africa. Enough is enough Vodacom. Sort yourselves out
