Poor service from Vodacom
I've called Vodacom a few times about my contract. After losing my job in 2017, I couldn't afford payments and made arrangements in 2018 to pay R1000 per month to settle the outstanding amount. During this period, my lines were converted to prepaid. The last payment was on 15 April 2020. The following day, my lines were back to Smart Top Up L+ and the new invoice has a handset amount, insurance and two voice bills. It is the same for all three numbers I have with them except that the other two don't have insurance. I called (1) to check why they extended a contract which started in 2019 and apparently ending in April 2020; (2) why am I billed as if I upgraded in July 2019 and thus have 3 new handsets, (3) if I have to continue with this, can I be given the new handsets I'm charged for; (4) can I fixed my 2017 phone with insurance I've been paying since my screen is cracked and I couldn't be helped until I settled the previous outstanding amount. The last two consultants promised that I'd be called back. They said the contract terms were not fixed and they would cancel and I could continue as prepaid on all 3 lines or start a new contract. Nothing.. instead they just allocated minutes, data and SMSes for May. I am using my broken old phone but have the insurance with no feedback, my son's phone was ****** and I reported but can only do sim swap from today, my daughter's phone keeps freezing. Yet, on my list of queries, it shows that my issues have been resolved.. not sure how they determined that. Now, I can no longer see my bill on the App and don't know which date and how much I will be charged.
