Poor service from Vodacom and Vodacomshop/Repairs.
The service rendered by the Vodacomshop/Repairs store in Rossini Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark, opposite Vaal Mall, ***, in conjunction with Vodacom SA, is terrible. A Vodamail customer of theirs, Mrs E. Carter has been trying to get her Vodamail password reset since 21st May when she personally visited Vodacomshop to have the password reset. The system was down according to their Tech zone. A young man whom she remembers as Martin promised to 'phone her when they were online again, this never happened. Please understand that this lady who resides in Escalante Assisted Living Village in Vanderbijlpark has to undergo regular chemotherapy sessions which leave her nauseous and debilitated. Her computer, via Vodamail, is her only link to her children (due to Covid visits are not possible), her medical affairs and her financial affairs. This link is now broken and has been for some time now.
In the interim I have taken up the fight for her and have visited Vodashop personally and 'phoned them three times and the password still cannot be reset. Between the shop and a giant like Vodacom this is pathetic! Vodacomshop blames their principals, Vodacom and that is where it ends. The Vodacom Mobile Broadband number is ***.
The e-mail client being used is Microsoft Outlook and Outlook keeps displaying a message that the smtp server password must be entered and no password ever used by her in the past works. Something has been *******ed and the password needs to be reset. Does anybody out there care for an ill senior citizen? Does not seem so. Keith Dungey ***
