Poor service from Vodacom
On 15 April 2019, I took out a contract a Samsung galaxy A30. I took out this contract for my son as, it is his first contract phone. Which he was so excited having his first brand new phone. The very same night however he complained that the headsets don't work when listening to YouTube. The next day I went back to the store to complain. I was however told the phone cannot be replaced as my son when opening the box accidentally removed the imei nr on the box. I understood and the phone was sent in for repairs. When the phone was returned from repairs it then only worked for one day again. I took the phone back and was told if the problem occurred a third time they will replace the phone for me. They send the phone in for a second time and was returned. When my son set up everything on his phone again he reliase that he can not set up his fingerprint. It gives a system error and if it occurs the phone must be restarted. We tried everything even resetting the phone but it didn't want to set up the fingerprints. I phone the lady at the store and she said I must bring the phone in again. This time my son was very sad that every time he receives his brand new phone their is a new problem. They told me the third time they will replaced the pc board. After hearing this I asked the lady at vodacom stores to talked to a person higher. She gave me her area manager phone number and I explained everything to that lady again. I now requested that they must replace the phone and not repair the phone as I no longer believe that the phone is credible. It is the third time being send in. Even in arc which the lady said they repaired it now for the third time , they tested it and it still didn't worked. They had to send it back again to be fix. This morning on the 25th June I received a whatsup from her that they refuse to replace my phone and is sending it back to me. At this point I can't believe that this phone is in a right condition. It repeatedly breaks and I must returned it in for repairs. My son didn't even have the phone to use for a week since 15 April this year. But it is expected from me to pay my contract with no credible handset. Is this how Vodacom treats all their customers. A new phone is supposed to work?
