I recently renewed my contract with Vodacom via the upgrade department , upon receiving the phone , Samsung S7 , the camera stopped working within a few days and after going to a Samsung store and Vodacom store was told to send the phone back.

I phoned the upgrade department on Thursday 1 June to log my call for the phone to be collected. The call agent confirmed the phone will be collected within 24 to 48 hours. No collection as of Monday 5 June. One again I phoned the upgrade department and was told it will be collected first thing on Tuesday. This didn’t happen. So I once again called the upgrade department to ask what is going on, only to be told my request was never logged in the first place, even though this was confirmed on Monday. So 3 calls later, I still have a broken phone and now have to wait another 24 to 48 hours for RAM to collect the phone. I asked to speak to a manager at Vodacom and was told this is not possible and the manager will phone me back, which i was then told could happen anytime before 5pm. So i wait.

This service is unacceptable and it is not the customers responsibility to run after a service provider to collect a broken phone due to a hardware issue.
