Poor Service & conflicting responses

I took my son's phone in to be repaired last night after it fell into water. Understanding that this is not covered under warranty, I specifically asked the consultant (Jean Guyo) if, once this was repaired would by Vodacom, that my warranty on the phone would be re-activated & I was told YES. Late last night, my son's mother received a call from Eugene Benjamin (technician) to say that the repairs would be about R3900 as the motherboard & LCD had to be replaced. Today I called Vodacom & asked for teh report so I could forward to my insurance & was told by Tashreeqoh Mobara that it was BER. She sent me an email to say that even if it was repaired by them, it only carries a 30 day warranty & it can never go back under warranty - which is not what I was told by Jean.<br> So many conflicting responses from your staff & they are unwilling (or not allowed) to allow me to speak to Management? It is very clear from this & from my previous experiences with Vodacom that your staff have been trained to do everything in their power to mislead the clients & to make the clients experience as frustrating as possible. Why will this not be returned to warrranty once it is fixed by VODACOM experts?
