Poor Service and Unauthorized Charges by Vodacom

On the 18th of February, I received a call from a Vodacom representative offering me a migration. I repeatedly asked whether this migration would result in any additional costs, and I was assured multiple times that there would be no extra charges. However, when I received my invoice, I noticed an additional R600 charge.

On the 14th of March, I called Vodacom to log a query, requesting that they review the call recording and provide me with a copy, as I clearly recall asking about potential extra charges at least five times. Each time, the representative assured me there would be none. The consultant I spoke with, Pomzele Vele, informed me that I would receive feedback within 3–5 business days.

Despite multiple follow-ups, Vodacom has failed to provide any resolution. On the 26th of March, I contacted them again and was promised feedback by 16:00. When I followed up later, I was then told I would receive feedback by the 25th of March at 13:00. However, even by that time, I had received no response and had to call once again.

This is extremely poor service. I never agreed to any additional charges, yet I am now expected to pay an extra R600. This is completely unfair, and I demand a resolution. Vodacom needs to address this issue immediately and take accountability for misleading information provided by their representatives.

Reviewer Update
After spending several hours on the phone with Vodacom attempting to resolve this issue, I was assured that I would continue paying the same amount as before the migration. However, despite this assurance, an amount of R2,100 was deducted from my account. Vodacom has also acknowledged that I did not provide authorization for this deduction. This situation is extremely unfair, as the amount was deducted without my consent, despite their promise that it would not be. Furthermore, no refund has been issued to me. I kindly request immediate action to rectify this matter and process my refund as soon as possible. Looking forward to your prompt response.
