Poor service and lack of response at Vodacom Repair shop Tygervalley

I am very displeased about the poor service received at the Tygervalley Repairs shop in Cape Town. My Huawei phone was booked in for a faulty speaker by Valita Williams (Job card no: ***1) on the 16th of September 2019.

When I received the phone back on 18/09/2019 I was informed that a software upgrade was done, I then noticed that my phone was completely wiped and all my information (images, email, WhatsApp, Facebook, internet banking, contacts, etc.) was gone. Valita never informed me that there was a risk that my information might be lost. If she would have told me I would have made back-ups of everything prior to bringing the phone in.

Furthermore she confirmed that a quote will be sent to me for approval before continuing with the repair, but this was also never done. I have not only lost all my personal information but also important work information from the past year.

I was taken aback even more so by the manner in which she dealt with my complaint when I addressed it with her. She blatantly denied this and argued with me in front of another colleague without apologizing once.

Her lack of professionalism and customer service is absolutely shocking and a poor reflection on your company! I sent a complaint in writing to the branch manager, Anine, regarding the matter but have had no response.

I am actually thinking of cancelling my Vodacom contract entirely because of this and have logged a complaint on the customer service line and will be going to social media.
