Poor service
I am extremely disappointed by the service I have received from Vodacom regarding a SIM swap issue that remains unresolved despite multiple interactions with different channels. Approximately two months ago, a *****ulent SIM swap was performed on my number. While that matter was eventually resolved, my number was flagged due to the ***** incident. After recently losing my SIM card, I visited the Vodacom branch in Greenacres on Saturday, 6 June 2026, to perform a legitimate SIM swap. I paid R180 and was advised that my SIM would be active within three hours. Unfortunately, it never activated. On Monday, 8 June 2026, I contacted the call centre and spoke with Karabo, who informed me that only the ***** flag had been removed and that the SIM swap itself had not been completed. I was advised to return to the branch. After work, I returned to the branch, where I was then informed that a SIM swap had already been processed. However, my SIM still did not work. Concerned by the conflicting information, I contacted the call centre again and spoke with Lonathemba, who advised that no SIM swap had been completed at all. I have now received three different explanations from Vodacom employees, have made multiple trips to the branch, spent money on a service that has not been delivered, and remain without access to my mobile number. I am requesting urgent intervention from Vodacom to: • Resolve the SIM swap issue immediately. • Provide a clear explanation of what has happened. • Review the service and information provided by the various consultants involved. • Reimburse the fee paid for a service that was not correctly processed, should this be deemed appropriate. As a long-standing customer, I expect better communication, accountability, and customer service. I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution. #Vodacom #CustomerService #CustomerExperience #SIMSwap #SouthAfrica
