Poor Service

I had my phone ****** on Saturday afternoon just before 13h30. I called in to block the sim. I was advised I can purchase a new sim and get a sim swap at any vodacom shop. I needed this urgently as i do all my business via my cell and all my clients as well as partners have that cell number. The lady did advise that she had a problem with the system and will call me back.

I drove to Parow Centre and asked for the sim swap. The agent checked the system and told me there is a " offer pending". This I think could be because of the " system down" I was advised that I cannot do the sim swap due to " offer pending" on the system. I drovve to vanguard mall where a nice lady by the name of Zeenat assisted me.Gave me all the info I needed and some advise. The line would be active in 4 hours,,It now was just before 4pm. no problem. I called the 082111 later the evening. At aboit 10pm I think.A good 6 hours later just incase. I was asked my security questions,no problem. Lady said all is fine their side ,,she is not sure why I have no signal.Checked and advised I must try later ,No problem,Tried later,,,,Called in again,,Same info,,No problem their side. I went this morning back to Vanguard Mall Vodacom shop, where a young gentleman assisted me. He checked and thought it might be my tablet because he tried my sim in a phone and it worked. I was a bit surprised to hear this because the day before I used my pre paid sim in the same tablet with no problems. Because I didnt have my other sim cards with me I was not going to argue with the guy. Went home tested my telkom contract sim and my vodacom pre paid sim,.Both worked in the tablet but new sim swap contract sim still did not work. I went back and told the same young gentleman it was not my tablet because of tests I have done. he was surprised because all the sims as far as he know was the same. I didnt disagree as he might be correct. I suggested he give me another sim in replace of the sim I bought the day before. he advised that I must pay again R 63 ( cost of a sim swap ) . I was not prepared because its not my tablet not working n,its the vodacom sim. I had proof that its not my tablet so why should I have to pay again for another sim. Vodacom could just take back their sim and replace me with another to confirm what I was saying. The gentleman advised I speak to the manager who was not in today and he is not sure if he is in tomorrow.Managers name is Faried.Point of all this ,I have been a customer with vodacom for twenty years if not more. This is the customer service I receive after beimng a loyal customer for all these years. I have my cell contract as well as my modem contract with them. I must say i would have expected vodacom to consider the fact that I had proof its not my tablet at fault,,consider the run around I had,,and replace my sim ( which I will have to wait another 4 hours to activate ) once I receive it,I paid my R 63 for the sim swap with a smile. I want NO SPECIAL TREATMENT...Just what is and was due to me for what I have done and for what I have paid. COME ON VODACOM.....What has happened to customer service and customer satisfaction. Last but not least,,,taking away the email communication from customers and leave them, with calling the 082111 etc ..numbers is a slap in our face as I challenge ALL MANAGEMENT OF VODACOM to take a moment in their busy day to day schedule and call your lines as a anonymous caller and see the frustration we as paying customers has to go through. Hope this message make some kind of difference. A promise ill make is that the next time I have similar experience.,,,I will be cancelling my contracts and will rather support another supplier for another twenty odd years,,,Enjoy your Easter Weekend further.
