Poor service

On 26 May 2016 I contacted Vodacom to cancel my cell phone contract. I was informed that the contract would be suspended on 25 June and the last payment would then be debited from my bank account on 1 July. On 3 June I noticed that no services were loaded onto my account and that my contract was suspended. I contacted customer care who then informed me that my contract was cancelled and that the last payment was the one on 1 June. So on 7 June I was able to port my number to a new service provider as I was now on a pay as you go basis. On 1 July a debit order went off against my account. As I was under the impression that the last payment was already paid I reversed the payment. On 14 July I received a notification that my account was in arrears. I ignored it. On 21 July I received another email. I contacted customer care but could not get an answer as to why I owed any money. A few minutes after my call I received an email stating that I had 7 days to pay and that I would be handed over to the credit bureau if I failed to do so. I called again and demanded to speak to a manager. No-one was available. On 22 July a team leader named Deon contacted me. He said that according to their records my contract was suspended on 25 June. I asked him how it was possible for me to port my number if this was the case. He checked again and said that he could see that there was a mistake and that he would rectify it immediately and also cancel the debit order to avoid any further funds being deducted from my account wrongfully. I told him that I saw the matter as resolved and that I didn’t want to hear from them again. So on the 2nd of August I was surprised with yet another debit order being deducted from my account. If the so-called team leader couldn’t fix it the problem and I can’t get hold of a real manager then I don’t know who to talk to anymore.

Why do I still get messages like this:
Vodacom Balance Notification. For your information. Account Nr I ********** , Account Balance has now reached 70.00%.
Vodacom Notification: a credit note for account number I ********** has been processed for the amount R 685.80(Excluding VAT)
This is really starting to irritate me.
