Poor security and ****s at Vodacom

I was currently on leave abroad and when I arrived back in South Africa , I received a sms from vodacom to say a simswap has been made on my phone. I could not phone anybody since the simcard was blocked. I phoned vodacom from my other number and the operator told me that a simswap was done on my phone number and all the money was transfered to another number. When I asked to which number it was transfered to they could not help me. All that they could tell me is that the airtime was transferrred to another number. I am riccaed at Vodacom so I do not understand how they can do a simswap without my knowledge. When I asked the operator who was the person that did the simswap they could not help me either. She said if I want to do a simswap I don't have to produce an ID document , so in other words anybody can do a simswap with another person's simcard without producing a valid ID . I wasc also informed that if I want to keep the number I must go and buy a new card from Vodacom. I really like the number and to change it is going to be a big hassle for me. But now if I keep the number the same **** could occur again. I really think it is very poor from such a big cellphone provider to allow anybody to do a simswap without any ID and allow people to loose money. I would never recommend anybody to do bussiness with Vodacom since their security is a big risk to anybody.
