Poor repairs policy inconveniences customers
I need a glass screen replacement for a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ... no diagnostics needed, visible damage ... yet Vodacom's only solution is that I leave the phone with them for 3-5 days for a repair that should take less than an hour, because they refuse to order the screen & notify me when it has arrived so that I can drop it off for replacement in a single day or a few hours.
Their excuse ... what if a customer orders a screen and then doesn't bring their phone in.
For a free screen replacement? Really, who would do that? And are they suggesting they couldn't ever use a Note 8 glass screen that's in stock? & on that subject, why aren't common repair items kept in stock? Surely Vodacom is in a position to even arrange a consignment stock deal with Samsung?
This all just points to poor and inefficient business practice, with the nett loser the customer who is without a phone for 3-5 days ...
