Poor reception, terrible call centre staff!!!!!!!!

Have been without signal for days on end, and when we do have signal it is for a very short period with very limited funcionality. On Sunday, 9 April, we woke up to no signal to speak of, which then carried on until the late hours of the night. Monday morning we had some signal, still very poor with limited functionality. Since Tuesday morning, 11 April, we have been without signal again in the outer lying area from the tower site as well as intermittend signal within the town of which the tower is located very closely to, sitting in the office I can see the tower as clear as day light on the hill.

This affects our business operation as we have our field agents out and about doing, their daily c****s and have no means to communicate any information to our office, which in turn makes us look *********** and unprofessional.

Which brings us to the call centre issue. When phoning the call centre I got through to a lady who helped and got all the information needed regarding the tower/signal issue. Then when we get to the stage of giving a contact number (Cell number in this case) I gave her my cell number to which she is going to send a SMS to give me my Reference number for the fault reporting, after I said to her on more than 2 occasions that we do not have signal in order to receive calls, SMS or internet/data. Which she then rep**** that it is a business contract and that we phoned the incorrect department (which I can understand no issue with that) I then get transferred to "Business" department to redo the reporting of poor/no signal. After doing this I was told again that I am at the incorrect place, got transferred again and again I was transferred (This now being the 3 person that couldn't help me to just report a faulty tower). Then she wanted to transfer me again, after which I was cut off.

I am trying to report the faulty tower in the Cedarville area, after we have been battling with this issues for a number of years. We still no further in finding a solution to the problem. And being promissed a booster 3/4 years ago by Vodacom I am still waiting for this to materialize.

I have been dealing with a technician, Siya (do not remember his surname) from Mthatha area, whom has been very helpful and always trying to accommodate us as best he can, but not having full backing and support from Vodacom, there is only so much that he can help us with. This tower, in our opinion should be either replaced with a better tower or be upgraded. Vodacom pride themselves on being the best network in S.A. but I think this is not the case in our area as we are always battling with Vodacom here, not just the one tower, but VODACOM in general.

Dear RJ
I have not had any reasonable explanation as to what is going on. The reason given to me is not satisfactory and seems to much hogwash is going on here. Vodacom just isn't interested in finding a permanent solution to our problems in the area. We have had numerous problems of which none had been ever resolved.
