Poor Handling of My Upgrade and Account

My name is Patrick Phaahla ,ID number 780512********** (cell number ********** ***) I am a loyal customer who has been supporting the vodacom brand for many years, solely because of their top service and reliable network coverage, 2 years ago I took up a contract (uChoose smart S top-up) which expired in October 2016, because of my wonderful experience on the first contract I decided to keep the contract and only upgrade the handset and continue with the contract as it was, because it was working perfectly for me. Just like with the first contract I did my application for upgrade online, and within 48 hours I received my handset iphone5 s + topdog voucher and a once off 5 GB of data. Everything seemed to be in order and I was happy.Until one morning I received an sms notifying me that the limit bar has been activated and I could neither make call,s nor surf the internet, I called customer care for clarity, and I could not get any clear answer, I was then transfered to the collections department where they also confirmed that my account is paid up in full and nowhere near arrears, they opened the line, I was able to use the phone and surf the internet, only for the line to be closed again within 48 hours, I was very annoyed and called customer care again, this time I got a lady who claimed that my account is now at R 9,460.70 and I have exceeded my R 5,000 allocated limit. To my surprise I don't know anything about R 5,000 limit and I don't understand how can I get to R 9,460.70 on a uChoose Smart S top up plan, she told me that someone at Vodacom had left my line opened, she however failed to tell me, who that person was and why I was given an open line, because I did not ask for an open line, I can't afford an open line. As a speedily remedial action I requested her to set my contract back to what it was before the upgrade, because frankly I don't know why it was changed in the first place, of which she gladly did, she then escalated the matter to a senior person for further deliberation, on the 11/10/2016 I received an email from the senior person ref: 1- ********** 8722 a good gesture email where they confirm that my account used R 8,200.00 on data alone and as a token of good gesture an amount of R 8,011.71 is payable.I need assistance to understand the following, today 2/11/2016 I received a credit note of R 8,011.71 but to my surprise the credit note is for the hardware, WHAT A MESS!! Vodacom has charged me on the supposedly complementary 5GB data during that period

1. Why must a customer suffer because of the negligence of one of your employees who decided to keep a supposed closed line open

2. Where does this R 5,000 allocated limit come from because I did not agree to it, and it was never mentioned anywhere before in my application

3. And how did it happen that the R 5,000 allocated limit is exceeded by almost 100%

4. Why was my contract changed from what it was before and who did this

5. How much is Vodacom's 1 GB out of bundle? because in comparison, I've seen Cell-C charging their customers R 1,499 for (200 GB two hundred Gigabytes) although this is on promotion

6. My monthly debit to Vodacom was R450 before the upgrade, but this month Vodacom tried to debit my account with an in-consented amount of R 1, 600 I don't know where did this come from, and why are they doing this to me

I hope to hear your prompt response

A very displeased

Patrick Phaahla

Please help me, Hello Peter
