Poor Customer Service from a reputable service provider.

I have been a loyal customer with Vodacom for the past 20 years. Right now lm not even sure if l still want to remain with them because of the poir service l’m getting relating to my recent interaction with them.

Had a 24months contract with vodacom. On the 23rd month (April2019), l called them confirming that undeed my contract is lapsing. To my surprise, it had been extended for another 24 months without my knowledge. I was fortunate to have called them as l could then request for a cancellation on the termination date, instead of having the contract renewed without my knowledge.

They would invoice a monthly installment of +-R568, to which l paid R700 without fail as of December 2017. The contract term has came to an end, l called in over a month ago requesting the account be closed and was informed that l have a positive balance in my account as l had been overpaying. I then made a reuest that the overpayment be returned to my bank account over a month ago. The consultant told me it will take 14 days. I then waited, after 14 days called in with the reference number. I was told the service request on their side had been closed, with a note saying l have to provide a payment proof. To my surprise, no one from vodacom ever called or texted me, requesting that l send them a POP. The vodacom statement clearly reflects all the payments made, against what was due. How is it now that vodacom requires proof of all the payments made if they have never had to block my account just because a payment had been missed?!

Non the less, a POP was sent to them on the 25th March 2019 with the setvice request number as the subject, and my tel numbers should they have any further queries. To this day l still have not heard from anyone regarding this query.
